What You’ll Do (Job Summary)
You will be the lead person for all day-to-day money matters. Your main job is to lead a team of 4 to make sure all company money records are accurate and kept on time. You’ll ensure bills are paid, money is collected, and the company’s financial status is clear.
Core Responsibilities
A. Team Leadership & Oversight
- Supervision of accounts timely: Lead and manage the small team of 4 accounts staff. You’ll make sure all work (like paying bills and tracking income) is completed correctly and on time every day and month.
- Training: Guide and train team members on the best way to do their work.
- Workflow: Organize the team’s tasks to make work faster and more accurate.
B. Key Accounting Tasks
- Bank Reconciliation: Carefully check and match the company’s bank statements against our own accounts to ensure they balance perfectly.
- Daily Records: Oversee the entry of all sales, purchases, expenses, and other financial records.
- Accounts Payable (Bills): Ensure all supplier bills are reviewed, approved, and paid on time.
- Accounts Receivable (Income): Ensure customer invoices are sent out and money owed to the company is collected quickly.
- Month-End Closure: Make sure all accounts are tidied up and finalized at the end of each month.
C. Compliance, Reporting, and CA Coordination
- Tax/Law Compliance: Ensure all government forms and payments (like GST and TDS) are handled accurately and submitted by the deadline.
- Coordination with CA and his team: Act as the main point of contact for the Chartered Accountant (CA) and their team. Provide them with necessary documents, reports, and clarifications quickly for tax filing and annual returns.
- Reporting: Prepare simple reports on the company’s financial health (like how much cash we have and where the money went) for the management team.
Skills We Need
- Education: A degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- Experience: 4+ years of work in accounting, with at least 2 years in a role where you managed or led a small team.
- Software: Good at using accounting software (like Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good leader, and clear communicator.
