Fitter / Welder (Ferro / SID)

Job Description

A reputed Ferro Alloys manufacturing company requires Fitters/Welders for Ferro Alloys and structural (SID) maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out mechanical maintenance, fitting and fabrication work on furnaces, conveyors, crushers, gearboxes, pumps and pipelines.
Perform cutting, welding and fabrication of structures, ducts, chutes and supports as per drawings and instructions.
Assist during shutdowns, breakdowns and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Follow safety practices while working at height, in confined spaces and near hot metal/equipment.

Requirements
ITI Fitter/Welder or equivalent trade qualification.
Experience in heavy industry such as steel, sponge iron or Ferro Alloys preferred.
Ability to read basic drawings and operate gas cutting and welding equipment safely.
